Explantation is a procedure performed on patients who have breast implants and wish to remove them for health or aesthetic reasons. 4Pre-Operative Return
In this phase, we conduct the final health assessment of the patient, with all necessary pre-operative exams to authorize the procedure.
5Surgery
On the day of the surgery, our team welcomes the patient and guides her through the admission process. We mark the area to be operated on and take pre-surgery images. The patient remains in the hospital for 24 hours after the surgery.
6Post-Operative Care
During the post-operative period, medications for pain control and antibiotics are administered, and drains may be used as needed. The patient receives guidance on diet, prevention of complications, and general care.
7Post-Operative Follow-Up
Follow-ups are scheduled in the consultation offices to monitor the progress, control edema, bruises, and scars.
8Medical Discharge
After surgery, it is essential to maintain regular evaluations, annually or every two years, to ensure breast health. Follow-up can extend for a period of 6 to 12 months.
